Giving Back: Warrior Gateway CEO to Speak at Heritage Foundation Philanthropy Event
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- Devin B. Holmes, CEO of award-winning nonprofit Warrior Gateway, will be speaking as part of a Heritage Foundation panel about philanthropy for the military community on November 13, 2013 from 12-1 PM in the Lehrman Auditorium. The event, “Serving Those Who Served: A Wise Giver’s Guide to Assisting Veterans and Their Families,” will address strategies and advice for donors who would like to support veterans, service members, and military families.
“Philanthropy in the military community has been growing for several years as more and more donors engage with the Sea of Goodwill” said Warrior Gateway CEO Devin B. Holmes. “Tackling the challenges of determining where to invest, how to measure impact, how to determine the philanthropic needs of a community are all important topics that we look forward to discussing.”
The panel, hosted by Director of the Douglas and Sarah Allison Center for Foreign Policy Studies Stephen P. Bucci, also includes Thomas Meyer, author of philanthropy guidebook Serving Those Who Served, and Pete Hegseth, CEO of Concerned Veterans for America. Following the panel, the event also includes a small luncheon to continue the discussion of military healthcare and retirement reforms. The philanthropy panel is open to the public and will also be streamed online for those who cannot attend. Members of the local community are invited to this event and can RSVP here: http://www.heritage.org/events/2013/11/serving-those-who-served
