Fairfield County’s “Warriors for a Cure” Lead Nation in Fundraising for Alex’s Million Mile – Run. Walk. Ride. for Pediatric Cancer
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- Today, Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling will join Norwalk-based LogicSource and Inspira Marketing Group to celebrate as the businesses present $10,000 checks to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) in support of Alex’s Million Mile – Run. Walk. Ride. for pediatric cancer research and awareness. For the second consecutive year the LogicSource-Inspira team “Warriors for a Cure” clinched the national fundraising title, raising $65,000 in 2014.
Each company pledged matching donations up to $10,000 and will present oversized, ceremonial checks to ALSF at O’Neill’s Pub & Restaurant in South Norwalk at 5:00 p.m. Warriors for a Cure logged more than 16,000 miles during Alex’s Million Mile – Run. Walk. Ride., which spanned the month of September, National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

This year, participants from across the country logged nearly 900,000 miles in support of the 2014 Alex’s Million Mile – Run. Walk. Ride.
