Enfinity Energy Solutions obtains exclusive Intellectual Property to build the next generation NGL waterless fracturing company.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) December 15, 2014 -- Enfinity ES, LLC (“Enfinity”), based in Houston, announces today that they have obtained intellectual property which will facilitate the delivery of the next generation of LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) and NGL (Natural Gas liquids) waterless fracturing services.
“The obtained intellectual property is vital in being able to build a waterless fracturing ‘spread’ that makes economic sense to the onshore E&P community,” said Steve Batchelor, a managing director of the company. “Very few dispute the effectiveness of using hydrocarbons as a fracturing fluid. The three questions were always whether it could be done at a price point that competed with water, how it could be done without disrupting drilling and completions program timelines and could it be done safely….we think we’ve figured out how to deliver that system.”
Enfinity plans on building it with heavy input from E&P customers. “We want the system to be flexible enough to meet each E&P customer’s needs,” Steve Batchelor says. “If one customer wants to pump at 80-90 barrels per minute and 400,000lbs a stage, we will be able to deliver those capabilities. We also see the opportunity to used produced NGL’s as a base for our NGL frac fluid, leading to better reservoir compatibility and economic savings. It will also allow for a new alternative method for secondary recovery.”
Enfinity plans on commencing operations in 2015.
