Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 03, 2013 -- Many brides struggle with unwanted habits or weight that they wish to lose before their wedding. ABC News published an article on July 10, 2013, entitled “Wedding Weight Loss: 10 Tips Every Bride Should Know,” and TheBrideDesign.com is taking this article as inspiration to give brides tips on healthy habits to employ before the wedding.
1. Make Small, Fun Goals
When choosing to lose weight, be realistic about goals. Make goals small, and couple them with fun activities to reap a double benefit. Accomplishing small goals, like going chocolate free for a week in spite of the fact that the same week they created personalized chocolate gifts for the wedding. Not doing the 1 for them, two for me bit can be difficult yet helpful.
2. Lose Bad Habits
Whether it’s smoking or over-indulging in junk food, bad habits may be the first thing to go when starting to get healthy for a wedding. Seek the advice of a health professional for tips on ditching bad habits. Many doctors have access to a large amount of resources to help those struggling with detrimental habits.
3. Be Positive
Commit to having a positive attitude. Put Post-it notes up reminding the bride that she is beautiful and worth the investment in her health. Never give in to negative thinking; instead, change negative thoughts into positive mantras.
4. Plan a Routine
Whether it’s planning meals or planning time with friends, having a routine to stick to can help the bride maintain a healthy lifestyle. Plan healthy snacks throughout the day to avoid over-indulgence, or bring drinks to work in order to stay away from the vending machines. If a habit is what has to go, plan activities that take the bride away from the environment that encourages the habit, such as exercise or a fun class.
5. Have a Confidant
Share the goals with a friend. Have that friend become a confidant, and check in with this person regularly. Share the challenges that face the bride, and gain inspiration and encouragement from this friend.
