1.    Make Small, Fun Goals
When choosing to lose weight, be realistic about goals. Make goals small, and couple them with fun activities to reap a double benefit. Accomplishing small goals, like going chocolate free for a week in spite of the fact that the same week they created personalized chocolate gifts for the wedding. Whether it’s planning meals or planning time with friends, having a routine to stick to can help the bride maintain a healthy lifestyle. Plan healthy snacks throughout the day to avoid over-indulgence, or bring drinks to work in order to stay away from the vending machines. If a habit is what has to go, plan activities that take the bride away from the environment that encourages the habit, such as exercise or a fun class.

5.    Have a Confidant
Share the goals with a friend. Have that friend become a confidant, and check in with this person regularly.
