Western Electrical Contractors Association (WECA) Hosting National Apprenticeship Week Open House in San Diego on November 12th
A Behind-the-Scenes Look for Prospective Apprentices
SAN DIEGO, Nov. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Western Electrical Contractors Association (WECA) is hosting an open house for prospective apprentices in observance of National Apprenticeship Week, a nationwide celebration emanating from the U.S. Department of Labor that gives businesses, communities, and educators the opportunity to showcase their apprenticeship programs and apprentices while providing valuable information to career seekers.
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019
Time: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Venue: WECA's San Diego Training Facility at 9320 Hazard Way, Suite B-1, San Diego, CA, 92123
WECA offers three Apprenticeship programs: Commercial Electrical, Residential Electrical, and Low Voltage (Voice/Data/Video and Fire Life/Safety). Each WECA Apprenticeship offers paid on-the-job training with a WECA Member Contractor (who also sponsors the apprentice's education) and intensive classroom training and hands-on labs.
During the open house, prospective apprentices will get the opportunity to tour our state-of-the-art labs, meet Apprenticeship instructors, learn more about the three Apprenticeship programs that WECA offers, and meet with WECA Member Contractors looking to hire apprentices. Prospective apprentices may register for the open house via Eventbrite. Drop-ins are also welcome.
