TSW Alloy Wheels Launches New Parabolica Rotary Forged 20-Spoke Wheel
(PRWEB) April 04, 2014 -- TSW Alloy Wheels, long a leader in aftermarket wheels now offers 32 different design for their alloy wheels in a dazzling array of diameters, widths and finishes. Newest among them is the just introduced Parabolica model, named for the formidable 180-degree hairpin curve at the Monza Race Circuit, home to the Italian Grand Prix.
“Auto racing is in our DNA, explained TSW Alloy Wheels president Terence Scheckter. “We were founded back in the 1960’s by a Formula One driver and have had a continuous involvement in motor sports ever since. So it is not surprising that most of our wheels take their names from the world’s great racing venues,” Scheckter added.
Scheckter also pointed out that buyers of custom wheels seek first to make a unique personal statement by shedding OE wheels, and the Parabolica does just that with its unique 20-spoke design. Spokes are arrayed in ten graceful parallel pairs, which gives the wheel an air of jewel-like precision. The Parabolica is finished in classic Silver with a mirror-cut face, or in contemporary Matte Black with a machined matte silver face.
The Parabolica makes its mark in dimensions beyond looks alone. The parabolica employs a highly advanced manufacturing process referred to as rotary forging. In production, the wheel’s rim is forged under intense pressure while being spun at high speed. This fundamentally alters the molecular structure of the aluminum alloy, which improves the strength of the wheel while simultaneously reducing weight compared to traditionally forged wheels. Most importantly, the weight savings accrues towards the outer perimeter of the wheel, thus dramatically reducing rotational mass, improving vehicle speed and handling. TSW now offers six models manufactured using the rotary forging process.
TSW offers other performance enhancing strategies, such as broad support for staggered fitments. That involves deploying slightly wider wheels and tires on the rear axle. This improves breaking, acceleration and curve hugging, while also adding a jacked dimension to vehicle appearance. The Parabolica product lineup has been engineered to support staggered wheels for a broad array of cars, trucks and SUVs. The wheel fitment guide at http://fitment.tsw.com/ enables shoppers to find all the technical specifications on all TSW wheels that fit their vehicle, including Parabolica wheels in 18”, 19” and 20” diameters. In each diameter, the custom rims are offered in four to five different widths to support a wide set of staggered fitments.
The company’s website at TSW.com includes navigation tools that enable owners to search for rims five different ways. Click on the “Wheel Collection” tab in the top menu to search by wheel size, finish style, model name or by vehicle make, model and model year. A useful resource on the website provides the ability to check in real time the available factory inventory of the comprehensive TSW wheel offerings. TSW dealers particularly appreciate this feature because it enables them to quickly determine availability of a customer’s selection. Wheels ordered by 7pm ET ship the same day. TSW dealers have been essential to the company’s success, and every effort is made to help them serve the customer well.
TSW has developed a fitment guide app available in the Apple app store. This helps users to find the perfect TSW wheel for their car. They start by entering the year, make and model to access the largest database of vehicle fitment data using a proprietary algorithm to provide a complete listing of TSW wheels. Users can search for TSW Fitment on the apple store to access the is application. The application is only available on the IOS platform right now but they are developing this app to be available on the Android app as well.
Headquartered in California, TSW serves dealers in North America, Europe and Asia. Dealers can be located by calling 888 766 7775, or can be searched by zip code on the TSW website.
