WhitePages.us.org Starting Campaign to Stop Phone Ripoff Artists
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 11, 2014 -- WhitePages.us.org is about to launch an online campaign in order to educate consumers on how they can avoid getting taken advantage of by ripoff artists, the company said yesterday.
“Consumers should not be afraid of getting stung by ripoff artists each and every time they pick up their phone,” a WhitePages.us.org spokesman said. “But there are a lot of ripoff artists who use the phone to trick people out of their hard-earned money. We believe that we can help people avoid getting into that situation. So we are going to dedicate some of our resources to making that happen.”
WhitePages.us.org is currently researching how ripoff artists work when they are trying to pull a phone scam. They will then use their research to create a series of educational articles that may be able to help consumers.
“It's hard to become a ripoff victim once you know how ripoff artists work,” he said. “So, we'll create a series of articles written in plain English that will show people exactly what to look out for. Once people know the red flags, they can easily avoid becoming the victim of a ripoff artist.”
WhitePages.us.org will publish the articles on their website, their social media channels, and their blog, he said.
“We are a new company, and we think that helping to educate consumers about phone ripoffs will let them know that we are on their side and want to help them out in the long run,” he said.
