AOC is almost right about one thing: CORPORATISM is irredeemable, yet capitalism is great! We should encourage all Americans to be thankful for the wealthy country we live in, to celebrate the success of billionaires, and to embrace their inner Kylie Jenner or Elon Musk capitalist.
DETROIT (PRWEB) March 12, 2019
Last week, Kylie Jenner was announced by Forbes to be worth over $1 Billion, making her the youngest billionaire in history that did not inherit their wealth from a deceased parent. Just 4 days later, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said this at SXSW: "To me, capitalism is irredeemable."
If AOC and other Democratic socialists had their way, Kylie would only be worth $100M after the government stole 90% of her wealth under the pretense of her needing to pay her "fair share." What is a fair share, and what is the best way to empower Americans to achieve success?
David Roy Newby, author of the #1 bestseller 'Beyond Billions,' says that Kylie is the 20-something getting headlines that should be emulated by others seeking greater success and significance, not AOC. “The best way to empower our fellow Americans is to make it easier to achieve success, not harder through excessive taxes that AOC is proposing. Young people today should be encouraged to be like Kylie- to create products and services, and to leverage their relationships and publicity - in order to bring value to the marketplace and create wealth through capitalism.”
AOC and her Democratic socialist peers would be wise to learn from Barack Obama’s favorite president, Abraham Lincoln, who said: “You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.”
The 90% taxes that AOC and Democratic socialists are proposing would simply cause wealth producers and job creators like Kylie Jenner to move their operations elsewhere.
Tax policy should incentive businesses to come to America, not drive them away; Trump’s lowering of taxes in 2018 leading to economic growth rates Obama said we’d never achieve again, and causing the lowest unemployment rates ever recorded in the USA, clearly demonstrate the benefits to all of lower taxes.
While it’s true that large corporations write most of America’s laws putting the odds in their favor, America still gives you the best chance to create wealth globally; that is why it’s the #1 country people want to move to.
Says Newby, “AOC is almost right about one thing: CORPORATISM is irredeemable, yet capitalism is great! We should encourage all Americans to be thankful for the wealthy country we live in, to celebrate the success of billionaires, and to embrace their inner Kylie Jenner or Elon Musk capitalist.”
