The Wi-Fi Alliance® has accredited MET Laboratories as an Authorized Test Lab (ATL) for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ n and related standards a, b, g, WPA2, and WMM. Effective immediately, MET is accredited to perform these certification testing services for all Wi-Fi Alliance members.
The Wi-Fi CERTIFIED program ensures that Wi-Fi devices bearing the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo have passed rigorous interoperability certification requirements.
This new accreditation is a natural extension of MET’s impressive capabilities and experience in wireless testing and certification. An early expert in multi-gigabit wireless technology, MET worked closely with the WiGig Alliance since the organization began in 2009 until it merged with the Wi-Fi Alliance in 2013, hosting multiple Plugfests along the way. Since 2013, MET has been a contributing member of the Wi-Fi Alliance.
“Wi-Fi n was the last major missing accreditation for us – now that we have it, we can truly say we are a one-stop-shop for EMC testing and certification,” said Asad Bajwa, MET’s EMC Lab Director.
MET’s EMC services include certification for FCC TCB and Industry Canada CB programs and testing for emissions, immunity, SAR, DFS, ESD, and shielding effectiveness to satisfy government, military (MIL-STD), and industry (e.g. NEBS, OTA, Zigbee, RTCA/DO-160) requirements. MET also offers a Global Market Access program for achieving product certifications for all major international markets.
Beyond the Wi-Fi Alliance, MET is also active in these wireless alliances and consortia:
- Exclusive EPCglobal Lab for RFID Hardware & Software certification
- RAIN RFID Alliance charter member
- Accredited lab for OmniAir Electronic Tolling & Connected Vehicles certification
MET has performed testing and certification for all the major IT equipment manufacturers, including Motorola, Panasonic, Ericsson, and Broadcom.
