Pacific Prime clients are continuing to see improved options for medical care as William Russell has begun offering full cover for a handful of pre-existing conditions via premium loading.
William Russell is now offering premium loading cover options of varying degrees for the following pre-existing conditions:
-Detached retina: Full coverage with loading at ~25%.
-Eczema and/or dermatitis: If a client suffered a single attack only of eczema and/or dermatitis, William Russell indicated a loading at ~5%.
-Renal stones or renal lithiasis: If a client who suffered renal lithiasis is successfully operated on and the condition is non-recurring, then loading is ~25%.
-Asthma: When the asthma is intermittent and light, the loading offered is ~25%.
-Non-operated fibroma: ~25%.
-Fibrocystic breast disease: ~15%.
Premium loading is not the only way that insurance companies will handle individuals with pre-existing conditions. In addition to loading, there are two other options for individual policies – exclusions and moratorium.
Exclusions occur when an insurer agrees to cover a client but excludes all the pre-existing conditions and their related conditions. In other cases, insurers provide clients with coverage including the pre-existing conditions but with a moratorium – a period without any symptoms, effects or treatment for the pre-existing condition. Usually, this time is around two years.
Premium loading, however, guarantees full coverage of pre-existing diseases, although with a higher premium. Not all insurance companies offer this option. Only a few insurers offers full coverage, and they do it on a case by case basis.
William Russell is continuing to give clients access to the best doctors and medical facilities in the world, even if they have pre-existing conditions. Pacific Prime analysts are curious to see how clients with William Russell will respond to this new option for pre-ex cover.
