WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Oct. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The publishers and editor of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine are holding the Third Annual Figurative Art Convention & Expo (FACE) in Williamsburg, Virginia at the Williamsburg Lodge November 10-13, 2019.
Several hundred museum-quality artists will be in attendance at the convention where a faculty of 35 top artists and speakers will be discussing the monumental growth of the realism art movement and demonstrating centuries-old techniques that were nearly lost through the generations.
The event, which features four days of art mentorship from several top masters, will focus on figurative and portrait drawing and painting. The convention includes demonstrations with live models onstage, plus a large studio where attendees can paint from models.
According to publisher Eric Rhoads, "This event is historic and the world's leading figurative artists will be in attendance. We have made this one-of-a-kind event available to some students and teachers on a scholarship basis, giving them a chance to be part of this historic art movement. It's a chance to meet top artists and encourage talented attendees toward their future as artists."
Onstage mentors at the conference include artists Carolyn Anderson, Casey Baugh, Nikolai Blokhin, Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso, Michael Klein, Joshua LaRock, Reisha Perlmutter, Dan Thompson, William A. Schneider, William A. Suys, Jr., Scott Waddell, and Patricia Watwood. In addition to the main convention, guests can elect to attend a pre-convention workshop, one of which will be led by artist Daniel Maidman, and the other by Michael John Angel, who established the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.
The hosts of the event are Fine Art Connoisseur editor-in-chief Peter Trippi and publisher B. Eric Rhoads.
As part of this grand event, there will be an art materials Expo Hall where vendors will showcase and sell their products, many at convention-only prices. Many attendees and faculty members will be selling their artwork at the Art Gallery and Sale. The Expo Hall and Art Gallery and Sale will be open to the public during select hours of the convention.
