The latest release of Oxygen Forensic Suite 2014 enables remote data acquisition of mobile devices running on the popular Windows Phone platform. The acquisition technology has been licensed from ElcomSoft Co. Ltd., making Oxygen Forensic Suite 2014 the first analytic package on the market to receive remote access to information contained in My Windows Phone (previously Windows Phone Live) cloud. The original Windows Live account credentials are required to obtain information from the cloud. However, physical access to the original Windows Phone device is not needed. Available data includes contacts, messages and general device information.
Even having the correct My Windows Phone credentials, experts who are not equipped with Oxygen Forensic Suite will be unable to access most information stored in the cloud. My Windows Phone cloud stores information in a complex format, making manual forensic analysis of this data complicated and practically unfeasible.
