Wines of Israel to Host First Grand Tasting in New York City, Showcasing Top Israeli Wines and Cuisine
NEW YORK (PRWEB) August 13, 2019 -- Wines of Israel is pleased to announce its first-ever Grand Tasting in New York City, to be held the evening of Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Guests will be able to taste a wide variety of exemplary wines and speak with representatives from nearly 30 wineries, representing each of Israel's wine regions within the context of "Grapes, Grains, and Olives." Breads and mezze will be provided by a lineup of outstanding local restaurants, including Breads Bakery, Nur, and recently-opened Lamalo.
This ticketed event, open to the public, will be hosted at Union Park Events (5-7 East 17th St.) near Manhattan’s Union Square from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Tickets are now available for purchase for $75 at Eventbrite.com (https://winesofisraelconsumerevent.eventbrite.com). Please note that this is not a kosher event, although all food served will be vegetarian.
Israel may be more famous for its rich culture and long history than its vineyards, but the country’s young wine industry is thriving, offering renowned fine wines from unique, Mediterranean terroir. From Rhone and Bordeaux blends to attention-grabbing indigenous varieties from forgotten old-vine vineyards, Israel’s talented, globally-educated winemakers are exploring it all.
Wines of Israel is operating a robust educational program for beverage industry professionals and media, hosting masterclasses for trade and media, only, in New York (September 10), Philadelphia (September 12), Boston (September 12), and Chicago (September 12). For more information regarding trade and media educational opportunities and event registration, please contact [email protected] or [email protected].
Beyond the September events, Wines of Israel will also participate in the Society of Wine Educators Annual Conference, Full Circle Beverage Conference, GuildSomm Masterclasses, and SommCon San Diego. Additionally, Wines of Israel will be present at consumer events and walk-around tastings, including Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival and San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival.
