Winners of 2021 DallasCIO ORBIE Awards Announced

Executives from Toyota, Alcon, NCH Corporation, National Life Group, Exeter Finance LLC, European Wax Center, Signify Health & Dallas Independent School District Recognized for their Achievements

DallasCIO announced the winners of its 2021 CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards. DallasCIO recognized chief information officers in seven key categories – Leadership, Super Global, Global, Large Enterprise, Enterprise, Corporate, Healthcare, and Public Sector. The DallasCIO ORBIE Awards were presented virtually.

“The DallasCIO ORBIE winners demonstrate the significance of strong technology leadership in these uncertain times. Over the past year, CIOs are leading in unprecedented ways and enabling the largest work-from-home experiment in history,” according to Lourdes Gipson, Executive Director of DallasCIO. “The ORBIE Awards are meaningful because they are judged by peers - CIOs who understand how difficult this job is and why great leadership matters.”

The 2021 DallasCIO ORBIE Award winners are:

›› Zack Hicks, CEO & President, Toyota Connected North America, and CDO & EVP, Toyota Motor North America received the Leadership CIO of the Year ORBIE.

›› Sue-Jean Lin, SVP & CIO, Alcon received the Super Global ORBIE for organizations over $3 billion annual revenue & multi-national operations.

›› Gertrude Van Horn, SVP & CIO, NCH Corporation received the Global ORBIE for organizations up to $3 billion annual revenue & multi-national operations.

›› Nimesh Mehta, CIO, National Life Group received the Large Enterprise ORBIE for organizations over $2 billion annual revenue.

›› Michele Rodgers, CIO, Exeter Finance LLC received the Enterprise ORBIE for organizations over $800 million annual revenue.

›› Jyoti Lynch, CIO, European Wax Center received the Corporate ORBIE for organizations up to $800 million annual revenue.

›› Shane Henderson, CTO, Signify Health received the Healthcare ORBIE for hospital & healthcare organizations.

›› Jack Kelanic, CTO, Dallas Independent School District received the Public Sector ORBIE for government, education, and nonprofit organizations.

The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. Since inception in 1998, over 1,200 CIOs have been honored as finalists and over 300 CIO of the Year winners have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The ORBIE honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients, based upon:
