Winners of 2021 GeorgiaCIO ORBIE Awards Announced

GeorgiaCIO recognized chief information officers in seven key categories – Lifetime, Global, Large Enterprise, Enterprise, Large Corporate, Corporate, & Public Sector. The Awards were presented at the Georgia CIO of the Year Awards at the Cobb Galleria.

- Rich Gilbert, SVP, CIO, & CDO, Aflac received the Global ORBIE for organizations up to $2.5 billion annual revenue & multi-national operations.
- David Brooks, SVP & CTO, Cox Automotive received the Large Enterprise ORBIE for organizations over $5 billion annual revenue.
- Roxanne Seymour, SVP & CIO, Serta Simmons Bedding received the Enterprise ORBIE, for organizations over $1.5 billion annual revenue.
- Matt Diamond, CIO, Secureworks received the Large Corporate ORBIE for organizations over $550 million annual revenue.
- Marcus Wasdin, CIO, Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena received the Corporate ORBIE for organizations up to $550 million annual revenue.
- Michael Casdorph, VP IT & CIO, Augusta University received the Public Sector ORBIE for education, government, and public sector.
The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. Since inception in 1998, over 1,800 CIOs have been honored as finalists and over 400 CIO of the Year winners have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The ORBIE honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership.
