Winter Park & Fraser Chamber Announces Top 10 Summer Events
Winter Park, Colo. (PRWEB) June 09, 2015 -- The Winter Park community hosts more than 200 events each summer. The fun festivals range from toe-tapping musical jams to athletic competitions, family-friendly fetes and much more. Here are the Winter Park & Fraser Chamber’s top 10 picks for events and festivals that travelers shouldn’t miss this summer.

- Fraser Tuesday Picnic in the Park (Tuesdays, June 23-August 6)
Visitors are invited to bring their own picnic and enjoy free live music at Old Schoolhouse Park in Fraser each Tuesday starting in June from 6-8 p.m. for this family friendly event. Acts include Gary Key, ACME Band, Sasquatch Mountain Project, Peggy Mann, Matt Chimes, JV3 and Hannah Rose.
- High-Note Thursday Concert Series (Thursdays, June 18-August 20)
These performances take place in Winter Park’s Hideaway Park from 6-8 p.m. Acts range from American classic covers to blues, bluegrass, Latin jazz, country and reggae music. An offering from the Odell Brewing Company Summer Concert Series, this concert series is presented by Rocky Mountain Honda dealers and Real Estate of Winter Park.
- 13th Annual Grand County Blues from the Top (June 26-28)
This event is a staple in Colorado’s Favorite Playground, and the 13th annual Blues from the Top, presented by the Grand County Blues Society, promises to be one of the best ever! Headliners include Ronnie Baker Brooks, Joe Louis Walker, Chris Cain, Danielle Schneblen, Jarekus Singleton, Boogie Boys and more.
- Lance Gutersohn 4th of July Celebration / Rendezvous Run for Independence (July 4)
New this year, the annual Lance Gutersohn 4th of July Celebration will be held in downtown Winter Park at Hideaway Park. The event includes inflatables, face painting, live music and the RE/MAX Peak to Peak Fireworks Display. It is presented by Rocky Mountain Honda dealers. For athletic souls, the morning starts at 9 a.m. with the Rendezvous Run for Independence 5 mile run/walk. Register for the race.
- Rendezvous Mountain Bike Capital USA™ Weekend (July 11-12)
Winter Park is Mountain Bike Capital USA™, and this event puts that moniker on full display! Bike camps, the Epic Singletrack race, music and fun activities for all ages and abilities are on tap. There’s even live music, courtesy of the Odell Brewing Company Concert Series presented by Rocky Mountain Honda dealers, as well as happy hours specials throughout town.
- 33rd Annual Winter Park Jazz Festival (July 18-19)
This is one of Colorado’s Favorite Playground’s most notable events, which is held in downtown Winter Park’s Hideaway Park. The headliner on Saturday is 11-time Grammy winner Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. Sunday’s headliner is Morris Day & The Time. This event is presented by Colorado Access, Odell Brewing Company, Rocky Mountain Honda dealers, Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa/Volario’s and Real Estate of Winter Park. Get tickets.
- 5th Annual Winter Park SolShine Music Festival (August 1)
This free event is presented by KBCO, Odell Brewing Company, Rocky Mountain Honda dealers, Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa/Volario’s, and Real Estate of Winter Park. Attendees will enjoy music from Colorado favorite, Leftover Salmon, and other national and regional acts.
- Winter Park Beer Festival (August 8)
This great annual event in Winter Park’s Hideaway Park offers brews, views and great live music. Enjoy unlimited beer tasting from 12-5 p.m. with 30+ micro brewers on hand to share their classic hoppy beverages and a few new ones. This event is a “don’t miss” for beer aficionados, music lovers and festival goers. Besides great beer, Beer Fest attendees will enjoy food from vendors, retail vendors, and live music from three acts throughout the day.
- Winter Park Music Festival (August 15)
Another free festival in Winter Park’s Hideaway Park, this event is sponsored by Odell Brewing Company, Rocky Mountain Honda dealers, and Access Health Colorado. It features live music from national and regional acts, as well as food and beverage vendors.
- Winter Park Uncorked (August 22)
Wine lovers will converge in Winter Park for this new event, which includes wine tasting accompanied by live music. Winter Park Uncorked will be held in Winter Park’s Hideaway Park and is presented by Rocky Mountain Honda dealers.
