We are always looking for ways to provide our members with valuable careers to keep them competing and we cannot get any better than elite athletic teams and organizations who value the traits our athletes have acquired from competing at a high level.

Athlete Network announced today that they have partnered with Sports 1 Marketing, a firm co-founded with Hall of Fame Quarterback Warren Moon and prominent sports executive David Meltzer, to launch a Work in Sports job portal for current and former athletes looking to work in professional athletics. The portal is the only free site to search and apply for professional sports jobs and is open to all Athlete Network members. Athlete Network members will have a direct line of communication to a staff member in the Human Resources department for each organization.

“We are truly excited to team up with Sports 1 and elite athletic organizations such as the Tampa Bay Lightning, LA Angels of Anaheim, Seattle Mariners and Seattle Reign,” said Chris Smith, Athlete Network Founder & CEO. “We are always looking for ways to provide our members with valuable careers to keep them competing, and we cannot get any better than elite athletic teams and organizations who value the traits our athletes have acquired from competing at a high level.”

"We are thrilled to have teamed up with the fastest growing athlete-only network in the world, so that we can connect with athletes and give these candidates top priority,” said Jordan London, Director of Digital Marketing for Torque Sports and Performance. “It shows us [the employer] how dedicated the candidate is when it comes to their careers."

The Work in Sports portal also features direct access to Sports 1 Marketing’s Mission Meetings with David Meltzer. The virtual meetings provide tools for attendees to achieve their personal and professional goals and learn what top corporations and executives are looking for when hiring directly from one of the world’s most successful sports industry executives. Successful completion of the course will provide members with a “stamp of approval” to include on their resume when applying.

“Most people think that getting a job in sports is difficult, if not impossible,” said Meltzer. “Through the Athlete Network Work in Sports portal and my Mission Meetings, I’ll teach you to make the possibility of getting your dream job a probability through discipline, strategy, and awareness."

The Work in Sports portal is currently available on https://www.athletenetwork.com/sports1
