DULUTH, Minn., Aug. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- WorkWell's Director of Clinical Practice Deirdre "Dee" Daley, PT, DPT, MSHPE was recently installed on the Board of Directors for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Daley has long been devoted to advancing the practice of physical therapy(PT) and workplace injury prevention.
As a board member, Daley will focus on meeting the needs of the 100,000 plus members of APTA, strengthening the PT profession to improve movement and health of society. "My work in the PT community inspires me every day. Working on the Board of Directors offers the opportunity to take that inspiration to new places to promote health and transform lives," said Daley.
As Director of Clinical Practice, Daley leads development of clinical programs and evidence-based occupational health solutions to help PTs and employers reduce and treat workplace injuries. Her recent accomplishments include the launch of WorkWell's Easy Train, an affordable online training program that prepares PTs in the areas of onsite services, ergonomics and return-to-work programs. Prior to joining WorkWell, she worked in a variety of private and large corporate outpatient practices, consulted with employer clients and provided PT services as a contractor in a military hospital system.

Complementing her impeccable service at WorkWell, Daley has been active in several components of APTA , serving in roles such as education chair, vice president and president. She has coauthored several publications on topics such as job analysis and the role of the physical therapist in occupational health, and also serves as a member of the Work Rehab Clinical Practice Guideline Writing Group. She has a BS and DPT in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac and UNC-Chapel Hill and a MS in Health Professions Education from NC State University.
