Interior Invention

"The US carpet and rug industry generates an annual revenue of $9 billion," says Scott J. Cooper, CEO and Creative Director of World Patent Marketing, "With the anticipation of heavier imports from the emerging growth economies, this industry is expected."

World Patent Marketing, a vertically integrated manufacturer and engineer of patented products, announces Scarpets, an interior invention that provides a beautiful, non-slip cover for stairs which doubles as a protective gear while helping prevent slips and falls.

"The US carpet and rug industry generates an annual revenue of $9 billion," says Scott J. Cooper, CEO and Creative Director of World Patent Marketing, "With the anticipation of heavier imports from the emerging growth economies, this industry is expected to out-pace the overall market."

“This is an interior invention that has safety as its number one priority and will become a part of every household in the near future,” says Cattya Bella, Director of Product Development for World Patent Marketing, “Scarpets is a truly groundbreaking invention as it combines both beauty and function. It is proof that in today’s world, there are still ideas worthy of being explored."

People think that house improvements after retirement is a questionable decision. In fact, it is quite the opposite since it is actually the perfect time to renovate the house. For the elderly, however, having a beautiful wood or marble staircase can become a disadvantage because it makes them prone to slips and fall.

Scarpets make remodeling worth the trouble as it is an interior invention that protects the stairs from damage and the people using it. It is essentially a carpet that covers the main portion of the stairs to provide friction when climbing up or down. However, it leaves enough space to showcase the beauty of the material. It has a beautifully designed rug on top and a rubber finish on the underside to prevent it from moving.

“Scarpets is an interior invention that makes your home safer for the elderly and young kids,” says inventor Sandra V. “It is also a form of home improvement and safety measure but unlike other items, you don’t have to call in the professionals to have it installed. It attaches to the stairs using a double-sided tape found at the underside of the invention which really makes it a cinch to install.”

Arnel Davis, a grandparent blogger and retired paramedic from Tulsa, OK, has this to say about Scarpets: “During the course of my long paramedic career, I’ve come to know that one of the most dangerous places in the house after the bathroom is the stairs and it is one that causes a lot of accidents. The most common victims are small kids and the elderly. Scarpets is an interior invention that prevents this. Now that I’m retired, my back isn’t all that good as well and since I know of the hazards, this was the first thing I installed in my house.”

Scarpets is an interior invention that puts people first. It is designed with safety first but doesn’t lose the aesthetics and beauty of the stairs. World Patent Marketing is pushing to have this invention to every household in the world to promote safety.
