World's Best Young Bucking Bulls Return to Stephens County Expo Arena June 14-15
DUNCAN, Okla. (PRWEB) June 04, 2019 -- There is no bigger event for 2-year-old bulls than the American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) American Heritage Futurity. The annual Cooper Tires Futurity event returns to the Stephens County Fair & Expo Arena June 14-15, where the champion bull will take home $100,000.
With over $450K paid out last year at the two-day competition, the American Heritage is the must-enter event for ABBI stock contractors each season.
The event draws hundreds of stock contractors from coast-to-coast to Duncan, Okla. each year. With social activities that kick off June 14th welcoming the participants to Duncan, this is one of the most anticipated events of the year for the bucking bull industry.
"I am so proud of the entire team who works tirelessly to make the American Heritage a success each and every year,” said TwoBulls Groups Jim McLain, the event’s producer. “The ABBI is committed to bringing this event to Duncan through 2019. The support of the Duncan Convention Visitors Bureau, the Stephens County Commissioners and the City of Duncan have made this fantastic partnership possible."
The bucking bull action kicks off Friday June 14th with events for the youngest bulls of the event lasting throughout the day. The yearling and 2 year old bulls will buck with a remote-controlled dummy on their back and be scored for their bucking ability. Friday evening will feature the D&H Yearling Bull Sale.
On Saturday the American Heritage’s premier futurity will take place. The American Heritage Derby will feature the nation’s top 3-year-old bulls who will face off against cowboys from the LJ Jenkins Bull riding Tour. Between the two days of events, over 300 bulls are expected to compete.
"We really appreciate the community welcoming us with open arms and we want to share what all the excitement is about," said Daugherty. "We invite the public to come out and watch all the action for free. Whether you want to see the young bulls who will grow up to be the superstars of the PBR, or you want to root for the cowboys riding the 3-year-old bulls, we want everyone to come out and enjoy this unique event."
American Bucking Bull Inc. is the sister organization to Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and is dedicated to promoting bucking bulls, both by preserving their bloodlines and showcasing their athletic abilities. They have over 200,000 DNA registered bucking cattle and pay out an average of $3 million dollars in prize money each season.
