Counter Terrorism Expert and Brigadier General (Res) Nitzan Nuriel of the Israel Defense Forces Joins World Patent Marketing Advisory Board
Tel Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) August 15, 2015 -- World Patent Marketing, a vertically integrated manufacturer and engineer of patented products, announced on Thursday, August 13, that Brigadier General Nitzan Nuriel has joined the Advisory Board of the company.
"We are pleased to bring a man of this caliber onto our Advisory Board," said Scott J. Cooper, CEO and Creative Director of World Patent Marketing. "He has incredibly sophisticated knowledge, not just about military affairs, but about energy and technology as well. In addition he has personal experience and contacts in the international arena. His opinion is sought after by Presidents and Prime Ministers, the world's foremost decision-makers. He is the real thing and we are pleased to have him to help guide us at World Patent Marketing."
General Nitzan Nuriel is currently a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) with headquarters in Israel. He will continue in this position in addition to his duties with the World Patent Marketing Advisory Board.
Prior to joining the ICT, from 2007 to 2012, he served as the Director of the Counter-Terrorism Board under the Israeli Prime Minister's Office. He served for many years as the Military Attaché to the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC, acting as the official liaison between Israel, the US Army, Marine Corps, Special Operations Command, FEMA, and Homeland Security.
General Nuriel was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1959. He joined the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) in 1977 and was assigned to the infantry corps GOLANI. During his time in Golani he was promoted through every command position up to and including Deputy Division Commander.
In 1994 Brig. Gen. Nuriel was appointed Commander of a territorial brigade in the West Bank. As Commander, he planned and conducted the evacuation from Nablus. In 1997 he became the Deputy Commander of the Gaza strip division and in 1998 he was appointed to J-3 of the Northern Command. In the course of this assignment he took part in the planning and execution of the retreat from Southern Lebanon and the new deployment of the northern border.
His last assignment in the IDF was as a special PM serving with SOCOM and JFCOM. During the second Lebanon War he served with the 91st Division as Deputy Division Commander.
The President of the United States awarded Brigadier General Nuriel the Legion of Merit for his humanitarian, military, and diplomatic accomplishments.
General Nuriel has expertise in the planning and development of highly technical projects and strategies. He has overseen the production and deployment of many of the latest tools and much of the equipment that is vital to the war on terror.
His experience and in-depth knowledge of critical military and civilian technology makes him an ideal choice for the World Patent Marketing Advisory Board position. In his new capacity he will provide advice and consultation on technical innovations and inventions. In addition, his firm commitment to free enterprise and entrepreneurship insures that he is an ideal fit with the company's mission statement and value structure.
"I am glad to be able to contribute to the World Patent Marketing Advisory Board. I am particularly pleased that I will be able to focus on an area which I have always found interesting and important, the humanitarian advancement of science and technology," said Nuriel. "New ideas and inventions may solve many of the problems that are so challenging today."
The retired general has long been known for his pragmatism and outspoken stance against terrorism. While he has successfully held high-level positions that require carefully worded diplomatic language, no one could have any doubt where Nuriel stood on the subject of domestic and international terrorism. Terrorists and those who support them need not bother looking for sympathy from Nuriel.
Nitzan Nuriel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from University of Tel Aviv and a Master's Degree in National Security from the University of Haifa.
