World Patent Marketing Encourages Its Inventors and Manufacturers To Watch The Xiaomi Product Launch

Xiaomi Smartphone Release

This is the way Ninjas and Assassins launch a product. You keep the entire world waiting. You tease the marketplace. I encourage all of our inventors and manufacturers to watch this event very closely.

World Patent Marketing, the world’s fastest growing patent, idea protection and inventor services company, put out a special alert to all of its inventors and manufacturers to closely watch the product release of the Xiaomi Smartphone on Thursday. Called “the Apple of China” by some industry observers, Xiaomi Inc. is based in Beijing. The company began teasing the event on Monday via Twitter and Facebook and says it will announce the product — a smartphone — from Beijing with a live launch on Facebook.

“This is the way Ninjas and Assassins launch a product,” said Scott Cooper, Creative Director and one of the Principals of World Patent Marketing. “You keep the entire world waiting. You tease the marketplace. I encourage all of our inventors and manufacturers to watch this event very closely. Launching a new product into the marketplace is a work of art and these guys understand the game.”

Xiaomi has been making waves in the smartphone space as of late, partly because the $45 billion company has risen up to become one of the most valuable smartphone brands in the world. The China-based company is known for making affordable Android phones, which tout Xiaomi’s slick, iOS 8-esque MIUI interface. The company name means “little rice” in Mandarin Chinese, but it’s anything but small. With the latest $1.1 billion investment, Xiaomi is now valued at $45 billion, according to a December 29th Reuters article making it the most valuable private tech startup in the world, surpassing ride-share company Uber. Xiaomi is the world’s third-largest smartphone vendor by shipment volume, according to research firms Strategy Analytics and IDC. The company has even passed Apple and Samsung as the biggest smartphone supplier in China, which is the world’s largest single smartphone market, according to IDC.
