London (PRWEB UK) 5 February 2014 -- The National UK Blog Awards will, for the first time, reveal the top bloggers in the UK at their 2014 awards ceremony. The National UK Blog Awards are the only Blog Awards to recognise the talents of a multitude of industry professionals in the UK.
Narrowed down to 14 industries including travel, digital & technology and Retail & Fashion, there will be awards for the best organisation blog and the best individual blog in each category.
The finalists have been announced after a public poll which attracted over 16,000 votes. Among the shortlisted blogs was International roaming specialists, WorldSIM, for their travel blog. Writing on a variety of topics related to travel and gadgets, WorldSIM’s recent posts include: How to plan your trip using Pinterest, Travel Accessories that Save You Money and How Much Data Will You Use When You Travel.
Andrea Crome, writer of the WorldSIM blog commented, “The WorldSIM blog has only been around since June 2013 so to have such a following already is amazing. There were a lot of great travel blogs in the running so very pleased we have gotten this far.”
Judged by a professional panel including Rupert Murray, Editor at Travel Weekly, the shortlisted blogs will be examined between Monday 3rd February to Monday 24th February. With over 500,000 blogs registered in the UK (according to Wiki answers) there are now 31% more blogs around today than 3 years ago, therefore the quality of content required in order for a blog to be successful is much higher.
The winners will be announced at the awards evening to be held in London on 25th April.
