Weather Underground's Wundermap puts the weather in your hands!
Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 25, 2013
Weather Underground’s “Wundermap” was featured on NewsWatch as part of its popular segment, AppWatch, that takes a look at the latest and coolest mobile applications and mobile services on the market. Andrew Tropeano, host of AppWatch, conducted the app review and shared with viewers how it is the most powerful weather map on the market.
Weather Underground was the world's first online weather service, and has a network of 30,000 personal weather stations around the world, allowing them to forecast at a granular level. Anyone with a personal weather station in their backyard that reports to Weather Underground is accessible by the user base, meaning a Weather Underground user can potentially see the weather in their backyard.
The new tablet app puts the weather in a user’s hands. Wundermap has multiple different tools – from looking through one of their ten thousand different webcams real time or tracking a hurricane or storm in real-time, the app brings users the latest weather information across the globe.
The app’s map can be customized by adding layers, changing the skin of the map for different appearances, watching animated radar and satellite images to see current weather patterns, and more. Weather Underground’s Wundermap is free and available for iOS and Android and can be downloaded at http://www.wundermap.com.
