Yellowfin: Making Business Intelligence easy

Yellowfin Japan will allow us to provide stronger support for our partners and an even better experience for our clients across Japan

Headquartered in Ogawamachi Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Yellowfin Japan will be responsible for developing and delivering Yellowfin’s product sales and support operations, professional services, direct marketing and channel growth throughout Japan.

Yellowfin has over 150 clients in Japan, established by former distributor and existing reseller partner Kyocera Maruzen System Integration (http://www.kmsi.co.jp), including Mito Securities and Meta Water, as well as telecommunications giant NTT DoCoMo – the predominant mobile phone operator in Japan. In addition, Yellowfin works with over 30 partner organizations, including NTT Software Corporation, Canon Software and NS Solutions Chubu Corporation.

Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie, said that he was excited to establish a direct presence in Japan and capitalize on market momentum.

“Yellowfin has experienced phenomenal growth in Japan, so we were very eager to take this opportunity to directly address market demand for Yellowfin’s consumer-oriented approach to BI,” said Rabie. “With Yellowfin Japan’s existing reputation and skills, combined with their proactive approach and intricate understanding of the local reporting and analytics market, we are confident we will quickly expand our presence and build on Yellowfin’s profile in Japan.”

“After seven very successful years at Yellowfin’s foremost partner in Japan, KMSI, we are delighted to officially join the Yellowfin family,” said Yellowfin Japan Director of Sales, and former head of sales for Yellowfin at KMSI, Yugo Hayashi. “Yellowfin Japan will allow us to provide stronger support for our partners and an even better experience for our clients across Japan.”

Key Yellowfin Japan reseller and implementation partners, NS Solutions Chubu Corporation and NTT Software Corporation, were quick to endorse the transition.

“Establishing Yellowfin Japan will result in enhanced sales and support capabilities for Yellowfin’s BI solution throughout Japan,” said NS Solutions Chubu Corporation President, Sugimoto Masahiko. “This development will strengthen Yellowfin’s presence in Japan and result in significant increases in product, marketing and services support available to Yellowfin’s Japanese partners.”

NTT Software Corporation President, Shinichi Yamada, echoed Masahiko’s sentiments.

“NTT Software sincerely welcomes the establishment of Yellowfin Japan,” said Yamada. “As Yellowfin’s first Japanese consulting partner, we are fully committed to the success of Yellowfin in Japan. This development will strengthen the support for Yellowfin and its partners within Japan, leading to increased penetration in the domestic Business Intelligence market.”
