To honor veterans of the United States Armed Forces, YExplore Yosemite Adventures will offer special incentives to active and retired military members and their families to enjoy guided hiking tours in Yosemite National Park on November 9th and 10th. "In the spirit of the national parks waiving entrance fees for veterans this weekend, we would like to offer special discounts for service members who plan to visit Yosemite," announced YExplore Founder John P. DeGrazio.
On Saturday November 9th, YExplore will offer a seventy-five percent discount for the first ten military member participants on a guided Yosemite Sentinel Dome Hiking Tour. On Sunday, the company will be offering free hikes for the first five veterans who wish to challenge themselves on a Strenuous Clouds Rest Adventure. All interested hikers should be aware that there are certain fitness requirements to attempt the Clouds Rest hike.
YExplore currently offers discounts for all veterans every day, but this year DeGrazio wanted to offer something extra. "We have the utmost respect for our veterans and would love to welcome some of them who are willing to spend an exciting day with us on two of our favorite hikes. These trails probably will not be accessible much longer once we begin to receive our winter storms." Yosemite's Tioga and Glacier Point Roads are open seasonally. "The forecast for this weekend looks very promising for favorable conditions, and it will a great opportunity to end our season with a bang."
