Young Asset Protection, a Pittsburgh area insurance and financial planning agency with offices serving the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area, is launching a charity drive to support the efforts of the Youth Advisory Council of the local nonprofit Pittsburgh Cares organization.

The Pittsburgh Cares Youth Advisory Council is a leadership development and social engagement program led by a core group of 15 local high school students dedicated to advocating for positive social change in the Pittsburgh area. The YAC works directly with local nonprofits to develop ways to engage the community and promote involvement among young people in the region.

“The YAC team has worked closely with a number of high profile charities and nonprofits in Pittsburgh to improve engagement, and this charity event will help ensure their advocacy efforts are fully funded going forward,” says Megan Young, owner and acting manager of Young Asset Protection.

Utilizing a highly active social media platform and email update system, Young and her team are gathering support for the YAC charity initiative by reaching out to families, young people, business owners, and educational professionals throughout Pennsylvania. The Young team is also producing a feature article discussing the charity event for publication in the firm’s online magazine “Our Hometown”: http://www.youngassetprotection.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.

Since July of last year, Young Asset Protection has worked with a number of charitable causes and nonprofit organizations operating in and around Pittsburgh. As part of an ongoing charity involvement program called “Agents of Change,” the firm will be assisting another new regional charity every sixty days.
