Our new video shows that kids want to be drug-free and they want to help their friends be drug-free

At a time when marijuana use is in the headlines, Narconon Drug Prevention and Education helps young people to send a clear message: Being drug-free is best! A new video filmed at the 13th Annual Say No to Drugs Holiday Classic in Universal Studios, Hollywood, shows more than a dozen young people putting this drug-free message into very clear words.
"In order to be successful, you have to have a clear mind," said one young man. "You can save a lot of lives by sending that message to be drug-free," said another.
"Our new video shows that kids want to be drug-free and they want to help their friends be drug-free," said Sigal Adini, executive director of Narconon Drug Prevention and Education. Narconon Drug Prevention and Education is a non-profit organization that delivers drug abuse prevention services to Southern California. "We are delighted to give these kids a voice and let them set an example for their peers in a big way," she added.
The new video has just been made available online and can be viewed by visiting: http://vimeo.com/83545528.
To bring these young people together at this race, Narconon Drug Prevention and Education encouraged dozens of community groups, businesses and individuals to donate the entrance fees for nearly four hundred young runners. Other businesses donated gifts for the goody bags given to the runners at the end of the race.
As a fitting end to the video, six of the runners clearly stated their own intentions to stay drug-free.
"With the help of our generous community donators and the support of the many volunteers who worked on this event, we were able to engage these youth in a healthy event with a drug-free message," said Adini. "Next year, we will add even more runners and spread this message even further."
