The Scott Hoery Agency, a family managed firm offering asset protection and financial planning assistance to communities in the greater Denver metropolitan area, is teaming up with nonprofit Second Wind Fund for a regional charity event that promises to reverse the growing trend of teen suicide in Colorado.

Recent data reveals that suicide is now the primary cause of death for young people aged 10-19 in the state of Colorado, and an average of two young people commit suicide in the state each week. The Second Wind Fund works to prevent teen suicide and reverse this growing epidemic by providing a host of programs and services centered on providing teens with greater access to licensed therapists.

“Something must be done to protect the young people in our community from this expanding problem – we’re working with the Second Wind Fund to help give hope and clarity to teens considering suicide,” says Scott Hoery, owner and executive manager of the Scott Hoery Agency.

Efforts are already underway to publicize the Second Wind Fund charity event throughout the Denver area. Hoery and his team are building connections over social media and email channels to help bring in support, as well as working up a full page story on the charity drive for publication in a soon to be released edition of the firm’s online magazine “Our Hometown”: http://www.scotthoeryagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.

Several noteworthy Denver area charitable organizations and nonprofit foundations have received direct assistance from the Scott Hoery Agency over the last few months. As new members of the national “Agents of Change” charity support initiative, the Hoery team plans to work with new regional charities on a bimonthly basis.
