The new Zamzee for Groups makes Zamzee, a device that measures physical activity and a website that motivates kids to move, ideal for clinical programs and other groups who want to reverse the effects of sedentary behavior and improve health.
Zamzee for Groups features a powerful data-collection tool that allows doctors, clinicians and other program leaders to motivate, measure and manage physical activity in real time. The new Group Dashboard displays insights on physical activity levels and patterns in real time, helping clinicians and group leaders target their programs more effectively. Furthermore, the research behind Zamzee certifies to program leaders that Zamzee not only tracks physical activity, but increases it by 59%.
Zamzee is a research-proven tool that motivates kids to move more. Data from a randomized, controlled study conducted by HopeLab, with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, showed that middle-school children using Zamzee boosted their physical activity levels by 59% compared to a control group. The study also showed significant increases in physical activity for at-risk groups, including a 103% increase among girls and 27% increase among overweight participants. Other outcomes included positive impacts on LDL cholesterol and glycated hemoglobin, key biomarkers for heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
