City of Monroe Signs Up for Multiple Managed Broadband Services from ZCorum
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) September 24, 2014 -- ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics, announced today at the SCTE Cable-Tec show that the City of Monroe in Georgia has signed an agreement for multiple services to assist with their cable modem broadband offering. The municipality, located due east of Atlanta, provides television, cable modem and voice services to the community under the name Monroe Access. ZCorum will be provisioning subscriber cable modem and voice devices, will be handling end-user email service, and offering engineering assistance to Monroe staff. In addition, Monroe will have access to ZCorum’s TruVizion diagnostics software, as well as PreEqualization Analyzer, a DOCSIS-based Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) tool.
ZCorum is well known for TruVizion, its flagship diagnostics application that gives cable operators a view of real-time stats and historical data from the CMTS, cable modems and voice devices. This year ZCorum added PreEqualization Analyzer to their diagnostic toolset, a PNM tool that allows cable operators to see where impairments are in the upstream plant before subscriber service is affected.
“Both of these tools will give Monroe Access a big step up in how they manage their DOCSIS network,” said Scott Helms, Vice President of Technology for ZCorum. “TruVizion will provide a greater insight into how their network is performing currently and over time, while PreEqualization Analyzer will change how they do network maintenance.” Helms is in ZCorum’s booth at SCTE this week demonstrating both products.
“We’ve provided services for the City of Monroe in the past,” said Julie Compann, President and CEO at ZCorum. “I’m looking forward to a long and successful partnership once again as we provide services and software to help Monroe Access offer a quality broadband experience for their community.”
