New Features for ZCorum’s TruVizion Help Providers Ring in Better Network Management in 2015
Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) December 30, 2014 -- ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics, announced new features for its cross platform broadband diagnostics software, TruVizion. This latest update is the result of customer input and feedback and adds to TruVizion’s impressive list of features. The new features are available to all existing and new users of the software.
As part of the update, TruVizion now includes an overall node report that displays all modems on a CMTS along with the node a modem is on. Individual node reports now include a status column showing whether the modem is online, offline, or attempting to connect. Additionally, TruVizion will now be able to get the node labels and modem associations directly from the CMTS. This means that operators will not need to manually enter the node information in TruVizion, although they will need to make sure the node information is entered in the CMTS.
ZCorum also changed how subscribers are sorted in reports that include street addresses, sorting first by the street name, and then by the numerical value in the address. This allows providers to easily view all customers on a particular street. They also included an override option on the package speeds that appear in the modem diagnostics screen. Some operators set their packages to a higher speed than is advertised in order to ensure that customers are getting the best possible service. This can cause confusion for call center representatives when customers call in about their account. The feature allows the operator to override the upstream and downstream speeds pulled from the modem configuration and instead display the speeds in the package that the customer has purchased.
“We listen closely to our customers’ feedback to ensure we’re delivering software that will help them in their day to day operation,” said Scott Helms, VP of Technology at ZCorum. “We’re proud of the continuing development and enhancements we offer on an ongoing basis. While other service providers offer diagnostics and monitoring tools, none provide the features or the insight that TruVizion provides.”
“TruVizion’s ongoing feature enhancements underscore our commitment to helping service providers respond to the demands of their broadband business,” said Julie Compann, ZCorum’s President and CEO. “As part of that commitment we regularly include customer-requested features in our development schedule.”
ZCorum began offering diagnostics for DOCSIS networks in 2009 and has since broadened the platform to include diagnostics for DSL and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks.
