Leading UK trade-in site Ziffit.com launch their first app for the iPhone and iPad. Featuring a handy barcode scanner, customers are now able to get instant quotes for books, games, CDs and DVDs.
Developed by Brightec, the free app features the full functionality of the website, allowing users to complete trades through their phone or tablet. By using the on-board camera and barcode scanning technology, it is now even quicker and easier for those looking to de-clutter your home.
The app is designed to complement the service already provided on Ziffit.com as Company Director Ben Maxfield explains; “First and foremost, we wanted to make the Ziffit trade-in service even more accessible. While the website allows desktop users to get quick quotes and complete trades, the app will provide greater flexibility and even greater choice customers looking to sell their games, books, CDs and DVDs.”
According to Ben, simplicity is very much the key. “The app features a barcode scanner, which uses the on-board camera of the iPad or iPhone to scan the item. This then allows us to provide a quick valuation, which the user can accept or decline. Of course, the real beauty is that you can complete a trade right there and then, either by logging into an existing account or creating a new one. There’s no need to jump between the app and the full website.”
Ziffit will be hoping that the app can help them to build on the fantastic success of Ziffit.com, which launched earlier this year. It is available to download for free in the App Store from today, just search for "Ziffit." The launch is also supported by a brand new TV advertising campaign, helping promote the brand to a wider offline audience. You can view this now through the Ziffit YouTube Channel.
