17a-4’s DataParser Now Captures Microsoft Office 365 Lync Online
Millbrook, NY (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- 17a-4’s DataParser compliance software can now capture the hosted version of Microsoft’s Lync communication platform. By offering clients the option to either use an on-premise or hosted Lync service, this new module gives financial and other regulated institutions the flexibility to use Lync in whichever configuration best serves their IT requirements.
The DataParser software, developed by 17a-4 llc, is used by hundreds of financial and regulated institutions to capture multiple types of data sources and messaging content for archive and discovery policy and procedures. Regulations imposed by the SEC and FINRA require institutions to retain these communications in accordance with specific requirements, primarily Rule 17a-4. Many institutions use the DataParser to capture on-premise Lync communications, but Office 365 hosted Lync servers can provide numerous cost and efficiency advantages. Organizations can purchase Lync Online as a standalone service from Microsoft Office 365 or as part of an Office 365 for enterprise suite.
The Office 365 Lync module of the DataParser has been developed to pull user content, on a nightly basis. The DataParser applies formatting, including service indicators and x-header information, to ease discovery efforts. Options for the module include; active directory filtering, multiple output delivery locations, SMTP routing and voice call logging. The DataParser now captures both on premise and hosted Lync, as well as Cisco’s Jabber™, Bloomberg™, Blackberry™, Microsoft SharePoint™ and more.
“Office 365 provides regulated institutions economies and service options which on-premise Lync servers cannot match,” says Charles Weeden, Managing Partner 17a-4. “However, until the release of this DataParser module, there has been no effective way to capture these Lync messages. We continue to develop the DataParser so that financial firms can balance the advantages of cloud technology with the regulatory requirements of the industry.”
DataParser pricing starts at $1,400 per year. For more information about the DataParser for Lync O365, please contact sales(at)17a-4(dot)com or call 212.949.1724.
