Urbana, IA (PRWEB) November 27, 2013

US Cargo Control, a distributor of tie down straps and other cargo control products, has recently become a member of the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM), a professional trade association for the trailer industry.

The Iowa-based company sells a variety of tie down straps and other cargo control products on its website and via the phone with a team of sales specialists, and has recently expanded its ratchet strap sewing and assembly operation to best serve its growing customer base in the trailer industry.

US Cargo Control’s national accounts manager, Ken Duncan, is heading up the category expansion. Duncan’s vast 14+ years of experience in the tie down industry and his membership with the Web Sling & Tie Down Association (WSTDA) offers an insight into the needs of the growing industry. He says joining the NATM is a great way to network with members in the trailer industry to further ensure the company is providing the right mix of products for those in the trailer business.

“Our association with the NATM is essential to effectively serving this industry,” said Duncan. “We’re looking forward to learning more about the needs of customers and manufacturers, growing our product line, and developing volume discounts to accommodate those needs.”

Based in Topeka, Kansas, the NATM serves manufacturers specializing in light- and medium-duty trailers towed behind vehicles, with the goal of promoting safety standards. The organization offers numerous services to members, including an annual convention and trade show each February. Duncan says he is looking forward to attending the event, and meeting NATM members to showcase US Cargo Control’s quality products.

“We’re looking forward to meeting fellow NATM members and find out how we can best serve their needs in this industry,” said Duncan.

The convention and trade show is the 26th annual event for the NATM and will be held February 26-28 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
