Email strategy firm announces new capability to trigger timely direct mail based on website cart and browse abandonment.

A retailer can automatically deploy a direct mail asset to any customer who abandoned their shopping cart X days earlier and has still not converted.

Email Aptitude, a leading email strategy and marketing technology firm, announced today the addition of a Cart Recovery Direct module to their direct mail automation product, Outbox Logic™. This enhancement allows retailers to create automated direct mail campaigns that are triggered when a customer abandons a certain webpage or shopping cart and does not convert from other digital retargeting efforts.

In a recent press release, Email Aptitude announced the Outbox Logic technology that runs daily to automatically print and deliver direct mail assets to customers meeting marketer-defined campaign conditions. Watch the video.

The Cart Recovery Direct module addition expands on this turn-key technology to allow marketers more refined targeting. For example, a campaign can be created to deploy daily to any customer who abandoned their shopping cart two days earlier and has still not converted, or to any customer who visited a top category page 3 or more times without converting. With Outbox Logic's seamless print and delivery infrastructure, any customers matching segment criteria are deployed to that day, arriving at their front door as soon as 1-3 days later depending on location.

“We are excited about adding these capabilities to provide even more value to high-performing cart and browse-abandonment efforts,” said Xiaohui Wang, Strategist, Email Aptitude.

The Cart Recovery Direct technology can be leveraged as an individual tool or combined with other functionality from Email Aptitude’s SaaS platform. Retailers interested in learning more about enhancing their multichannel programs should contact Email Aptitude for a private demo.
