East End Screen Printing, Long Island Screen Printing, Discusses A Vending Machine That Dispenses Recycled T-Shirts During NY Fashion Week
Bohmeia, NY (PRWEB) September 13, 2013 -- Bruce Graham, the owner of East End Screen Printing, a Long Island screen printing company, comments on a new vending machine that dispenses recycled t-shirts at NY Fashion Week
According to a September 10th article published by Plastic News titled “Vending machine dispenses T-shirts made of plastic during NY Fashion Week,” Allison Parris, a classic clothing designer, created a new type of vending machine with the American Chemistry Council’s initiative called Plastics Make it Possible. The new vending machine, set up on Eighth Avenue in New York City, accepts plastic bottles as a form of payment and dispenses recycled t-shirts. The article says the limited edition t-shirts are made from recycled plastics.
The vending machine is “designed to put a spotlight on the growing role of plastics in the garment industry and how recycled materials can live on as chic clothing,” the article says. These revolutionary t-shirts feature one of Parris’ designs.
Bruce Graham, owner of East End Screen Printing, a Long Island screen printing company, commends Parris and the American Chemistry Council for creating such an innovative idea. “The t-shirt is a staple in the fashion business,” he says. “But it can also be a way to showcase sustainable fashion.”
Graham says t-shirts can be used to raise awareness for a specific cause. “This is a perfect example of how t-shirts can be used to educate people on recycling,” he says. “These t-shirts act like a reward for living sustainably and remembering to recycle. It’s a great idea, especially during fashion week.”
