According to the lawsuit, the use of of NaturaLyte and/or GranuFlo in dialysis treatment caused the Decedent to suffer severe injuries and damages including but not limited to the following: severe adverse cardiovascular event and cardiovascular death.
Another lawsuit filed on February 10, by a Louisiana widow in Texas Southern District Court (case no. 4:2014cv00330) alleges that her husband suffered a fatal cardiopulmonary arrest after he was administered Granuflo.

On January 31, a new lawsuit was filed by a New York woman in St. Clair County Circuit Court (case no. 14-L-134) alleging that one of her relatives died after using Granuflo.
