The Recovery Village Celebrates Anniversary with Social Media Campaign
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 02, 2014 -- The Recovery Village is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a new campaign that invites alumni and friends to share their stories of recovery using #celebratingYOU. The campaign is centered on a celebration of moments spent with clients, and the life-changing recovery those clients have experienced.
The Florida treatment center has achieved much in its first year. The Recovery Village opened its doors on June 3rd, 2013, at which time it welcomed its first three clients. Since then, the caring and experienced staff has served as many as 700 clients over the past year. The center recently added 13 beds to its residential eating disorder treatment program and opened a new outpatient location in preparation for another year of exponential growth. The treatment center received JCAHO Accreditation, the gold standard in its industry, in August of 2013.
Over the past year, The Recovery Village has continued to grow and expand its programming in order to serve more people. Its Yoga Therapy program has flourished since it started in June of 2013, offering holistic healing to its patients. Sandee Nebel, the Yoga program director, has helped integrate yoga into the treatment curriculum. Sandee was chosen to be the yoga instructor at this year's International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP) Symposium, where she was able to facilitate all yoga sessions for the many treatment professionals that attended the conference.
The Recovery Village has worked hard to partner with others in the field and in the community, in order to create awareness for the disease of addiction and mental health disorders, and encourage many to seek help. The Recovery Village received an award for their generous support of Helping Other People Eat (H.O.P.E.), a local nonprofit, in January. This February, their Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Seikel, spoke with local news station FOX35 about heroin addiction. Most recently, The Recovery Village was named the founding partner for the University Education Outreach Program with the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA).
The Recovery Village founder, Mitch Baumann, is taking this time to reflect on the lives that have been changed in the past year.

As part of its #celebratingYOU anniversary campaign, The Recovery Village created a campaign video featuring testimonials from clients that have achieved recovery through the treatment center. The anniversary celebration will also make use of social media to share the message of hope and recovery. The Recovery Village has reached over 1000 Likes on Facebook, and uses this and other social media resources to help alumni, family, and friends stay connected.
The Recovery Village wants to hear from its alumni and friends. Former clients are invited to share stories of their success in recovery and how their lives have changed since completing treatment at The Recovery Village, using the hashtag #celebratingYOU. Former clients are also invited to participate in "Transformation Tuesday" by using photos to illustrate how they have transformed in recovery, using hashtags #TransformationTuesday and #celebratingYOU.
