BlogHer is the only conference that caters to every kind of social media influencer, including those focused on personal expression, professional development, and political advocacy.
Belmont, CA (PRWEB) July 22, 2014
BlogHer, Inc., the premium cross-platform media network and publisher for women, this year celebrates its tenth anniversary where it all began, in the heart of Silicon Valley. Thousands of attendees, including community leaders from the new women’s web and more than one hundred sponsoring brands representing every consumer vertical, will converge in San Jose this week for three days of networking, cutting edge conversation, and a “selfiebration” of social technology.
BlogHer’s tenth anniversary theme of “selfiebration” celebrates the blogosphere’s breadth and diversity, as BlogHer is the only conference that caters to every kind of social media influencer, including those focused on personal expression, professional development, and political advocacy.
The conference also celebrates BlogHer’s impact as it enters its tenth year, particularly through the BlogHer Economy: BlogHer has partnered with hundreds of companies to pay $36 million to nearly 6,000 members of the BlogHer community who were paid to write, photograph, videoblog, and lead conversations across social media.
Attendees of the BlogHer ’14 event at San Jose McEnery Convention Center on Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26, will experience the following:

BLOGHER SIGNATURE EVENTS
The 10th Anniversary has spawned three new initiatives to bring attendees together to reflect on the past 10 years, look ahead to the next decade, and celebrate the community.
The first is the on-site extension of an online initiative BlogHer launched earlier this year called Selfiebration, honoring how blogging has helped BlogHer attendees become their best selves.
The second is The 10x10 Project, a look back at what the blogosphere built and a look ahead to where it’s going, with 13 community leaders covering 10 years in 10 minutes from the BlogHer main stage.
Finally, in partnership with Official Communications Partner, Skype, BlogHer has launched The BlogHer Buddy System, leveraging Skype chat groups to allow attendees to network and mingle pre-conference, and to connect new attendees with veterans for one-on-one support.
These new initiatives are joined by beloved BlogHer traditions, especially the Voices Of The Year Community Keynote, during which, for the first time, 10 Photos of the Year will also be honored.
UNIQUELY ENGAGING SPONSOR ACTIVITIES
