The fifth annual Sales and Marketer of the Year (SAMY) Awards 2017 recognizes Utah’s top sales and marketing professionals who have had a measurable impact on their companies’ bottom line.

Since joining TCN in 2010, Bird has elevated his career rapidly, starting as a marketing manager and now holding the title of CMO. The award acknowledges Bird’s contributions and the integral role he has played in propelling TCN’s rapid growth. With Bird’s executive expertise in marketing, TCN has successfully established multiple partnerships and executed breakthrough launches during the last year. TCN also completed a merger with Global Connect, another leading provider of cloud-based dialing and communications services, and expanded its customer base to more than 1,600 globally.

In addition, Bird has successfully implemented various marketing programs to drive sales adoption and retention rates through creative email as well as call and drip engagement campaigns. The innovative marketing programs not only helped increase overall sales, but also played a significant role in boosting market penetration. As a result, TCN has achieved a hyper growth of more than 75 percent during the last year.

“It is an honor to be recognized amongst some of the top sales and marketing executives in Utah across a variety of industries,” said Bird. “I attribute this award to the collaboration across my team, and I look forward to seeing us build upon this momentum as the year progresses.”

Bird’s leadership and commitment have also helped establish TCN as a thought leader in the call center technology industry. Under his leadership, TCN received numerous awards, including Frost & Sullivan’s 2016 Excellence in Web Customer Experience, TMC’s Unified Communications Excellence Award, CUSTOMER Magazine’s Product of the Year Award, CUSTOMER Magazine’s BPO Excellence in IT Services Award, CUSTOMER Magazine’s Contact Center Technology Award and TMC’s Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award.
