CHICAGO (PRWEB) November 16, 2017
Stadium, the first-of-its-kind, fully programmed, 24/7, multiplatform sports network, is announcing a season-long package of 47 college basketball games that will be distributed exclusively on Facebook. The action extends through March, featuring matchups from leading conferences such as the Mountain West, West Coast Conference, Conference USA, and the Atlantic 10.
Play continues tonight, as Belmont takes on Middle Tennessee State at 7:30 p.m. ET. All games will be available on Facebook Watch and fans can add them to their watchlist by following the Live: Stadium College Basketball Show Page.
The schedule showcases a number of teams that competed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, including Dayton, Saint Mary’s, Middle Tennessee State, Nevada, Florida Gulf Coast, Wake Forest, Rhode Island, U.C. Davis, VCU, Minnesota and New Mexico State. It also includes a long list of nationally-prominent programs such as Pittsburgh, UNLV, Utah, Washington State, Ole Miss, Memphis, George Washington, and UMass, among others.
These basketball games build on Stadium’s partnership with Facebook, which kicked off this fall with a package of college football contests broadcast exclusively on the platform. Thirteen of these 15 games have aired and results include nearly 10 million total views and over 70,000 real-time comments from fans viewing the games live.
“Stadium is thrilled to continue its partnership with Facebook after the overwhelming success of our football package,” said Adam Anshell, Senior Vice President of Properties for Stadium. “We are able to reach new fans and engage with them in ways that are only possible on a platform like Facebook, and now we’re able to share that experience across an amazing slate of college basketball games.”
For these basketball broadcasts, Stadium will continue to deliver uniquely coordinated production assets and social elements that aim to bring the in-game experience to the viewing audience at home. For example, Stadium’s on-air talent team will address fan comments and questions throughout the broadcast, making the viewing experience as interactive and personal as possible.
Additionally, Stadium will produce an exclusive, weekly live studio show dedicated to college basketball. The 30-minute show will air on Watch via the Live: Stadium College Basketball Show Page every Wednesday evening beginning November 29th at 6:30 p.m. ET and will integrate user-generated segments and foster an ongoing dialogue with fans. Presented by Stadium host Dave Ross and Stadium basketball analyst Tim Doyle, the show will serve as a preview of that week’s games, including live look-ins, pregame interviews, and in-depth player profiles and features. The show will also take a look back at the top highlights, social video and photos and other defining moments of the previous week’s Stadium-produced games on Facebook and provide analysis on the top headlines in college basketball.
In addition to the 47 Facebook-exclusive games, Stadium will distribute an extensive lineup of college basketball games across its linear digital and broadcast streams. This schedule can be found here:
