HERMANN, Mo. (PRWEB) May 01, 2019
Phyllis Hannan, an entrepreneur who runs an organic elderberry farm, has completed her new children’s book “Love Life With Fiona and Daisy”: an endearing story that teaches children the importance of standing up for themselves to bullies, and through Daisy’s adventures as a runaway dinosaur, introduces them to organic foods and healthy living.
“I started this farm because I’m a firm believer in healthy food and drinks—which I aim to promote with all of my products,” Phyllis Hannan said of the correlation between her work and her book. “The grandmother in this book may seem a little familiar, because my granddaughter, Fiona, assisted me in writing and naming some of the characters in the book.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Phyllis Hannan’s multigenerational collaborative effort takes a more fanciful turn after Daisy the triceratops spends time developing better self-esteem and healthier eating habits with Fiona and her grandmother on their farm, but is lead back to her home ranch by two helpful fairies—Crystal and Cherry.
Each page of the book is accompanied by vivid illustrations that provide young readers with visual aids to follow along with the plot. The ability to see the pain that bullying causes, as well as the transformation that Daisy makes when she begins eating and drinking organic based foods, also serve to drive the main messages of the story home, even if the children struggle with the text.
Parents, educators, nutritionists, or anyone with an interest in a story about a dinosaur ranch can purchase “Love Life With Fiona and Daisy” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
