What does the Farmers’ Almanac have to say about the Silicon Valley region in California for the 2013-2014 Winter? According to the Farmers’ Almanac, winter should have more rain and it should be cooler than normal. Mountain area regions in California such as the Tahoe area, the snowfall should also be greater than normal as well. The Almanac is predicting most of the rain, snow and storminess will come in January and February of 2014 – storm damage will be a concern. The coldest periods will be in mid-December and mid-to late January. As far as the Midwest and East Coast Regions, it is predicting a cold, frosty, and wet winter.
With this news it is important to be ready for winter, get a safety inspection on the furnace or a tune up for newer furnaces. Older furnaces are more prone to failure, combustion issues and carbon monoxide issues. Residents need to prepare so not to get stuck without heat.
