Author Reflects On Experience Working With Urban Boys Of Color, Aims To Give Hope
BLUFFTON, S.C. (PRWEB) June 27, 2017 -- Concerned about the future of urban boys of color while working with them for nearly four decades, Brad Zervas wrote “They Are All Our Sons: Principles to Ignite Our Boys” (published by LifeRich Publishing), which reflects on the chaos, marginalization and dismissal of young people of color who live in metropolitan areas.
The book chronicles a life spent in the service of others, specifically working for the advancement and development of boys and young men. “They Are All Our Sons” details findings that point to specific principles of brotherhood – such as security and stability, independence, restraint and responsibility, brotherhood and fellowship, and national pride and protection – that, if applied, can help boys look forward to a brighter future.
Zervas says, “It provides hope and evidence that the right things said to boys at the right time and by the right person can elevate boys and place them on trajectories of purpose and meaning.”
