Basin Harbor Club Announces New Management Hires for 2014
Vergennes, VT (PRWEB) April 05, 2014 -- Bob and Pennie Beach, Fourth Generation Hosts at Basin Harbor Club, are pleased to announce the appointment of the following new staff members: Stacy Babcock, Director of Housekeeping, Will Benton, Director of Golf Operations, Aaron M. Caum, Dining Services Manager, Scott Clark, Director of Golf & Grounds Agronomy, Christopher J. Donner, Director of Human Resources, and Caitlin Hook, Guest Services Manager.
Stacy Babcock has a 25 year career in housekeeping services. She has many raving fans among her clientele and she brings enthusiasm and a passion for clean surfaces to her new position.
Will Benton, a Graduate of the University of Vermont, began his golf career at Basin Harbor where over several seasons he worked his way up to Assistant Golf Professional. He was Assistant Golf Professional at Admirals Cove, a 45-hold private golf club in Jupiter, FL. Most recently, Will was the Head Golf Professional at Oronoque Country Club, a private, 180-hole facility in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He is delighted to return home to Vermont to be with family and friends.
Aaron M. Caum is a graduate of the University of Vermont where he was a Vermont Scholar. He has worked seasonally at Basin Harbor as a Banquet Captain and Banquet Manager, and his new duties include oversight of all food and beverage service.
Scott Clark, a seventh generation Vermonter, has an extensive background in golf resort and private club work. He was Golf Course Superintendent at the LPGA International Golf Club in Daytona Beach, FL, which serves at the headquarters of the LPGA Tour. Scott was director of Golf Course Maintenance at the PGA National Resort and Spa, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, where he oversaw six championhship golf courses. At both venues he was involved with multiple LPGA and PGA Tour events which received national television coverage. Scott also served as Director of Agronomy at new $40M, Jack Nicklaus Signature Championship golf course 60 miles north of Moscow, Russia. We are excited that Scott has returned home to Vermont, bringing with him a wide variety of golf course experience.
Christopher J. Donner, an Iowa native, saw the light and moved to Vermont in 1999. His career in Human resources has taken him from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters where he was Human Resources Manager at a time when the company was expanding rapidly. He was Recruiting Manager at Spherion Sttaffing before joining Tetra Tech, an international company that fosters the integration of business, education, government, community groups and individuals to achieve progress throughout the world. Chris's extensive background in recruiting is a perfect fit with Basin Harbor Club's needs.
Caitlin Hook, is a graduate of Grand Valley State University in MI. She joins our staff after experience in several MI resorts. She joined the Basin Harbor team last year as Front Desk Attendant and was promoted to Front Desk Manager. Caitlin has taken the position as Guest Services Manager and will oversee the Front Desk, Bell Staff and Concierges in providing outstanding guest service.
