Big Shot Bikes Chosen to Design Custom USA Pro Challenge Stage 6 Trophy Bike
Fort Collins, Colorado (PRWEB) August 04, 2015 -- The USA Pro Challenge Northern Colorado Local Operating Committee has chosen Fort Collins-based Big Shot Bikes to create the custom trophy bike for the USA Pro Challenge Stage 6 winner. The professional cyclist who wins Stage 6 of the USA Pro Challenge will receive this bike during the finish award ceremony in Old Town Fort Collins Saturday, Aug. 22.
Known for providing fun, affordable, custom single-speed and fixed-gear bicycles, Big Shot Bikes incorporated the USA Pro Challenge colors and northern Colorado community highlights into its custom bike design. The red, white and blue bike includes the names of all northern Colorado Stage 6 communities – Fort Collins, Loveland, Larimer County and Windsor – on both the front and back wheels.
“Having the USA Pro Challenge race through northern Colorado again in 2015 is a testament to our area as a desirable cycling haven. The Stage 6 local operating committee has been charged with producing the customized award for the stage 6 winner. We saw this as an opportunity to showcase a local, highly successful company that plays an important role in our local cycling scene as well as enhances the sport by helping cyclists across the nation create their own custom bike. Big Shot Bikes has produced a solid Stage 6 trophy bike that celebrates the USA Pro Challenge as well as northern Colorado,” said Eric Thompson.
This is the first time that Big Shot Bikes has been chosen to design a custom bike for a large-scale cycling event.
“We are excited and flattered to be chosen to design the Stage 6 trophy. This is a great opportunity to highlight our company and our products as well as support the race as it comes through northern Colorado,” said Matt Peterson, owner of Big Shot Bikes. “We love that the USA Pro Challenge Stage 6 course highlights northern Colorado and the beauty of the area. Seeing our community highlighted and seen by millions of viewers around the world through the race is a great opportunity for northern Colorado cycling to be in the spotlight.”
In addition to creating the actual bike for the Stage 6 winner, Big Shot Bikes has created 10 exact replica bikes that will be available as part of the USA Pro Challenge Northern Colorado Committee’s Big Shot sponsorship package.
“As we were working with Big Shot Bikes on the trophy bike, we saw a great opportunity for local cycling fans and northern Colorado businesses to get in on the action and be able to share in the experience by owning their own custom Stage 6 Big Shot bike,” said Thompson.
