Brinton Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center at DuPont Circle Receives Performance Excellence Award
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 06, 2014 -- The U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Awards (SPQA) for Virginia and the District of Columbia is proud to announce that Brinton Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center at DuPont Circle, located in Washington, D.C., is a recipient of the SPQA Achievement in Performance Excellence Award.
Other 2014 award recipients include: Arlington Public Schools located in Arlington County, VA, Medallion of Excellence Award; Mary Washington Healthcare located in Fredericksburg, VA, Achievement in Performance Excellence Award; Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital located in Richmond, VA, Achievement in Performance Excellence Award; American Society of Landscape Architects located in Washington, D.C., Commitment to Performance Excellence Award.

SPQA award applicants undergo a rigorous examination by an independent board of examiners in seven areas defined by the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence: leadership; strategic planning; customer focus; measurement, analysis and knowledge management; workforce focus; operations focus; and performance results. The evaluation process includes approximately 1,000 hours of review and on-site visits by a team of SPQA examiners. Award recipients are selected by an independent panel of judges based on the criteria established for each award level.
