Childcare Lawyers join Duncan Lewis Solicitors London Offices from Fisher Meredith
(PRWEB UK) 17 September 2014 -- Duncan Lewis Solicitors are please to welcome four Solicitors joining their Children Law teams across their London offices this September who were previously part of the team at legal firm Fisher Meredith.
Ravi Mahey, who recently joined Duncan Lewis from Fisher Meredith in August 2014 is now joined by Claire Colvin, Candice Benjamin and Pettrina Roberts in the firm’s Childcare Law department.
Duncan Lewis Childcare Solicitors is a leading provider of Legal Aid services and can advise on Childrens Law and Family Law under UK Law or Islamic Law. These new additions to the Duncan Lewis Childcare Law team will be joining a number of Childcare Law Solicitors and Law Society Panel Members specialising in Childcare Law matters including; Care Proceedings; Child abuse; Children taken into Local Authority care; Court of Protection and International child abduction.

Clare Colvin joins Duncan Lewis as a Childcare Supervisor at the firm’s Shepherds Bush branch.
Clare qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and specialises in representing parents involved in Private Law children disputes, particularly in cases involving allegations of domestic and drug abuse. Clare has a particular interest in representing parents where there are risks of ‘parental alienation’ of children from their non-resident parent.
Clare also possesses considerable experience representing parents and other family members in Public Law proceedings and possesses experience representing parents with substance misuse issues, mental health difficulties and learning difficulties.
Clare also represents victims of domestic violence in obtaining injunctions to protect themselves and their children.
Candace Benjamin joins Duncan Lewis as a Consultant in the firm’s Luton Branch.
Candace qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and regularly advises clients on a broad range of children matters.
Candace specialises in child protection matters, care proceedings, child arrangement orders, leave to remove, abduction wardship, special guardianship and protective injunctions. Candace conducts much of her own advocacy and has written articles for the Solicitors Journal as well as hosting seminars on Domestic Violence issues.
As well as her experience in Childcare Law, Candace has a background in immigration, asylum and human rights and has a Masters in Public International Law. Candace has advised on and practised in Immigration Law; representing Asylum and Immigration clients at hearings before Adjudicators at the Immigration Appellate Authority.
Candace also offers her expertise as a mentor for LPC Students at the London Metropolitan University.
Petrina Roberts will be joining Duncan Lewis in October 2014 as a Childcare Solicitor in the firm's Tooting and Croydon offices.
Petrina manages a busy and varied caseload covering a large range of Public and Private Children Law matters including care proceedings; child arrangement orders; special guardianship; child protection; abduction; protective injunctions; leave to remove and adoption matters.
Petrina conducts her own advocacy for clients and has been responsible for supervising Trainee Solicitors in her past roles.
Petrina is also a member of the Law Society Children Panel, having joined in March 2009.
Clare, Cadence and Petrina join the team of specialist Family and Childcare Solicitors in the Duncan Lewis London branches.
