ConteXtream Awarded a 2014 INTERNET TELEPHONY NFV Pioneer Award
Mountain View, Calif. (PRWEB) July 01, 2014 -- ConteXtream Inc., a leading provider of carrier-grade network virtualization solutions, announced today that TMC, a global, integrated media company, has awarded ContexNet a 2014 INTERNET TELEPHONY NFV Pioneer Award.
ContexNet is a carrier-grade, distributed SDN fabric that leverages proven virtualization and grid technologies, enabling service providers to take the first step to achieving Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) as outlined by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). ContexNet enables operators to optimize their network through virtualization and effective utilization of resources while accelerating revenue growth through rapid introduction of new services or features. ContexNet runs on standard, off-the-shelf computing platforms, creating a distributed and scalable SDN domain, dynamically linking network functions and by steering the right traffic flows to the various network virtual functions. ContexNet is compliant with industry standard-based mechanisms such as OpenFlow, LISP and OpenStack which enable it to fully separate control from forwarding, location from identity, and orchestration from networking.
“We are honored to be named a recipient of the 2014 INTERNET TELEPHONY NFV Pioneer Award,” said Anshu Agarwal, VP Marketing, ConteXtream. “This award showcases ConteXtream’s leadership in network virtualization and recognizes our commitment to helping service providers achieve the full benefits of NFV.”
“Congratulations to ConteXtream for receiving a 2014 INTERNET TELEPHONY NFV Pioneer Award,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “ContexNet has demonstrated true innovation and is leading the way for Network Function Virtualization. I look forward to continued excellence from ConteXtream in 2014 and beyond.”
TMC announced the results via press release and the winners will be published in INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
